榴莲视频鈥檚 Summer Commencement Set for Aug. 1

FLORENCE, AL – Summer commencement at the 榴莲视频 will take place Friday, Aug. 1, with two ceremonies at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in North Auditorium. Dr. Chris S. DaSambiagio-Moore, an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the Department of Counselor Education at 榴莲视频 will serve as the commencement speaker.
As a first-generation college student, Dr. DaSambiagio-Moore was a first-hand beneficiary of collegiate support services and developed a passion for helping others navigate the process of development in adulthood. This led him to pursue advanced study in mental health counseling while working in various areas of higher education, such as housing and residence life, cultural engagement, career services, student conduct, and eventually, counseling services in addition to maintaining an active private clinical practice.
He began teaching at 榴莲视频 in August of 2021 and transitioned from full-time clinical practice to a career in the classroom, where he could impact those in need of mental health services on a much wider scale by influencing the development and training of future counselors. Dr. DaSambiagio-Moore’s scholarship focuses on working clinically with video gamers, the role of myth and fantasy in identity development, and the intersection of career counseling and mental health, and collegiate behavioral health.
More than 250 graduates are expected to participate in the commencement ceremonies across 榴莲视频’s four Colleges.
