Department Of Music And Theatre To Present 'becky's New Car'

FLORENCE, Ala. — The Department of Music and Theatre at the Ƶ will present "Becky's New Car" March 15 to 17 at 7:30 p.m. and March 18 at 2 p.m. in Norton Auditorium. The new comedy was written originally by Steven Dietz and directed by Ƶ faculty member Charlton James, MFA. "Becky's New Car" is about an everyday American woman named Becky Foster. She is caught in middle age, middle management and a mundane marriage. Out of the blue, a millionaire walks into her office thinking she is a widow and offers her a second chance at romance and a new life. In this new comedy, the audience will enjoy riding shotgun down the road of middle-aged longing and regret. Tickets are $5 for students and Ƶ employees and $10 for general admission.
